EAAA Management Structure

In correspondence with the Charter and the decisions made by the General Meeting the EAAA Board, the practical activity of the Association is implemented by the Executive Committee which leads the Board and is headed by the Chairman. The Board meets twice a year usually in May and October and is the legislative authority with respect to the Executive Committee and leads its work by e-mail. The Executive Director answers for the day-to-day operations of the office which is usually located where he lives.
Different aspects of carrying out the work of the EAAA which need constant attention are led by coordinators who have two allegiances: for organizational questions the coordinator reports to the Executive Director, and for content questions to the chairman of the corresponding committee.
The basic direction of the Association's activity is under the control of the committees which are put together from members of the Board and are headed by a chairman.
Usually represented on the Board are a cross-section of different types of schools according to confessions and union affiliations, of different levels of education and by other categories (the Executive Director and the coordinators are ex officio members of the Board with no voting rights.
In 2004 the EAAA Board consisted of twelve members on the following committees:

Standards Committee, which is involved with existing standards and in elaborating new ones, and with all documents having to do with the accreditation process.

Finance Committee, which directs and answers for the financial activity of the EAAA.

Publishing Committee, well-known as, “The Bible Pulpit Series”, and whose work is directed by a Coordinator, is presently located in St. Petersburg. This committee answers for providing needed textbooks and other teaching aids for schools.

The Board also has several temporary committees, for deciding specific questions such as the Personnel Committee which approaches potential workers, or prepares candidates for Board membership, and so forth.
The leadership activity of the Association may be broken down into the following directorates:
- The elaboration of standards and criteria for theological education on the basis of scientific investigation by the EAAA or other accreditation organizations, the elaboration of the procedures for carrying out accreditation in correspondence to internationally accepted practices and fully-developed traditions; the direct carrying out of accreditation for Association members with the goal of showing them their level of accreditation.
- The establishment of contacts with international accreditation organizations for the integration of the EAAA into the worldwide accreditation system with the goal of mutual recognition of educational levels in international evangelical society.
- The holding of international conferences, symposia, congresses gatherings, seminars, colloquia, meetings, courses and other such measures with the goal of increasing the quality of theological education in the countries of the former Soviet Union.
- The creation of information networks to help its members and to provide them with consultative services in various areas of activity; in particular, to provide assistance to schools in the formulation and development of their libraries and in creating library links between them; in the preparation of national teachers and in the organization of an international exchange of information on teachers.
- The maintenance of theological research programs and the utmost development of theological thinking in evangelical schools of Association members; assistance in the implementation of scientific research work in the area of new forms of educational activity on the basis of modern methodology and methods of research, analysis and recommendation for the use of foreign educational technology in the system of theological education.
- The stimulation of publishing work concentrated on the publication of scientific-methodological and theological literature, journals which stimulate spirituality, informational materials on the activities of the Association with priority centered on the preparation and publication of monographs, textbooks, teaching helps, readers, handbooks, brochures and other publications by national authors.
- The representation of EAAA members' interests at their request before government institutions and assistance to theological institutions trying to receive governmental or international recognition.
